Two must-read links ... make that three ... while you can

(Updated 5/16/13)

Three must-read links for my readers. And I do mean you MUST READ—before the Justice Department decides to “suspend” my blog for being on the wrong side of political correctness:

Gay Marriage vs. Tax Exempt Churches (Brian Cherry, Canada Free Press)
Though you're sure to disagree with parts of this article, the central premise is chillingly on target: “The gay marriage issue, as it is currently being pursued, is a back door assault on the constitutional freedom of religion and [Bible-believing] Christian churches.”

The Mask is Ripped Off of “Hope and Change” (Jim Geraghty, National Review)
A good brief rundown of the three scandals rocking the Obama administration, with a succinct summation: “You 'Hope and Change' true believers were a bunch of chumps.” Check out the picture at the end of the article. And get ready for more Captain Renault imitations by our beloved Great Leader about the subversion of the Constitution he ordered in these Nixonish acts: “I'm shocked, SHOCKED!”

Glenn Beck has pointed to Obama's “magician” abilities in diverting attention from critical issues with “spontaneous” eruptions in the news cycle. So could the IRS campaign against conservative groups and Justice Department press wiretapping (stories in the previous link) be diversions from a central question in the Benghazi killings? That central question: where WAS our Commander-in-Chief while Americans, including an ambassador, were being slaughtered at a US embassy in Libya? “With Benghazi, we have a Commander-in-Chief who, while acting in that capacity, fits the very definition of MIA, or missing-in-action. Not AWOL as some have proclaimed, but MIA. A schedule not erased after the fact, but an itinerary deliberately withheld from the purview of us all. The Commander-in-Chief inexplicably went 'off the grid' during a time of national and international crisis. He became MIA, but why?

Ironic Picture of Year ... so far ...

What a contrast ... President Obama, whose administration is doing a bangup job of crushing religious freedom in America on an unprecedented scale, holding up an image of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German theologian and martyr who is an iconic figure of religious resistance to tyranny. The president received a copy of the book Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy from author Eric Metaxas, the keynote speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast. Now, we can certainly pray that Obama will read this book and learn a thing or two about freedom of religion (as opposed to mere "freedom of worship" he and his co-religionist mouthpieces spout, where religious beliefs, practice and expression stay safely confined in the home or church building while we're forced to worship the "almighty" state).

And here's a Bonhoeffer quote our president can look up, from a radio speech Bonhoeffer gave two days after Hitler came to power in Germany: "Should the leader allow himself to succumb to the wishes of those he leads, who will always seek to turn him into an idol, then the image of the leader will gradually become the image of the misleader. This is the leader who makes an idol of himself and who thus mocks God."

Kiss free speech goodbye

The Hate Crimes Bill, the one that extends "hate crimes" prosecution to homosexuals, has passed the Senate today (snuck onto a defense spending bill) by a 63-28 vote (with five Republicans voting with the Democrats).

Well, it's important to bring cheer into the lives of others--and I'm sure I will be able to do that now for the Matthew 25 Network gaggle. All it will take is my getting into the pulpit to denounce homosexuality as a sin, and to proclaim that JESUS can set anyone free from this sin. Next, some unrelated violent attack on a homosexual will occur somewhere in the county--and some gay activist will point the finger at my "inciting" it--even though I denounce violence against ANY group, and regardless of whether the perpetrator actually HEARD my sermon.

And to the M25N's delight, it will be the chain gang for me! I'll be sure to send M25N my jail address, so they can cheer my heart as well by sending me their materials. I suspect I'll need a comedy break by then.

UPDATE from the Florida Family Association:

"Approval of the cloture motion only means that the hate crimes amendment was adopted. However, the Hate Crimes amendment will not become law unless the $680 billion Defense Authorization bill passes. Additionally, the amendment must be reconciled with the version of the hate crimes bill passed by the House. Furthermore, the Senate Defense Authorization bill includes funding for F-22 jets. President Obama is opposed to funding the F-22 jets and has threatened to veto the Defense bill if it funds the project."

Call your senators and PRAY!

The Obama Administration--A Look Ahead (Part 3)

Steve Baldwin, Executive Director of the Council for National Policy, wrote a vivid, and chilling, picture in the To The Point newsletter of what America will look like under President Obama, and some more facts his media lapdogs keep shoving under the carpet (to be sure, the media will start "exposing" a few of these fun facts AFTER the election, like Obama belonging to a Socialist party, to prop up their tattered image of being "objective" and "unbiased"). Please read the entire article linked here, especially the parts about Obama's idea of "justice" (particularly in regard to the church)--and pray, pray, pray.
